Also voted Sri Lanka’s ‘Youth Food Brand of the Year’ at SLIM Nielsen People’s Awards 2013!

Maggi, Nestlé Lanka’s much loved Food brand, was voted by Sri Lankan consumers as ‘Food Brand of the Year’ and ‘Youth Food Brand of the Year’ at the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards 2013.

Delighting generations of Sri Lankans since 1984, Maggi ‘two minutes’ noodles has been a trusted Sri Lankan household favourite for many years, winning the hearts of Sri Lankan adults and children alike. With the instant success of the Maggi Devilled range, an indigenous, fiery, hot and spicy variation introduced last year targeting Sri Lankan youth, Maggi claimed an even bigger consumer base across the market. Internationally acclaimed youth icon, popular Bollywood actress and Sri Lankan beauty queen Jacqueline Fernandez, encapsulating all positive attributes of the Maggi Devilled range as brand ambassador, further heightened its positioning among the youth segment. Its strong brand positioning amongst youth was augmented with its entry into the popular social media forum, Facebook, where it engages with tens of thousands of fans every day.

The brand also recently launched Maggi Magic Chicken, a granulated seasoning containing the mouthwatering and convenient combination of real chicken, real garlic and other spices to enhance the flavour of meals. Maggi Rasa Musu and Maggi Soup Cubes, household favourites, also fall under the seasoning powder range of the Maggi brand and its Maggi Coconut Milk Powder, made from the finest Sri Lankan coconuts, is the number one choice amongst Sri Lankan housewives.
