Nestlé Lanka recognized Sri Lanka’s Most Respected Food and Beverage Entity in 2022

Nestlé Lanka was ranked Sri Lanka’s Most Respected Food and Beverage Entity in LMD’s Most Respected Entities issue 2022 released recently. Accordingly, the company was among the Top 20 Most Respected Entities, out of over 100 renowned corporates across different industries.

Being declared the ‘Sector Winner’ in the Food and Beverage category is a reaffirmation of our deep roots in the country and we are honoured to be recognized in such an esteemed ranking. At a time when we are faced with many challenges, this recognition is truly an encouragement for us to continue delivering healthier and tastier products to our beloved Sri Lankan consumers, whilst also continuing our work towards communities and the planet together with our stakeholders across the value chain”, said Jason Avanceña, Managing Director, Nestlé Lanka.

Being the largest food and beverage company in the world, Nestlé has been an integral part of Sri Lankan lives for over 115 years. With over 90% of Nestlé products sold in Sri Lanka being manufactured in its state-of-the-art factory in Kurunegala, the company contributes to the socio-economic development of the country. In addition to supporting the livelihoods of over 800 individuals directly employed by the company, being one of the largest exporters of Coconut Milk Powder and one of the largest collectors of fresh milk in Sri Lanka, Nestlé Lanka contributes to the local community and support over 25,000 farmers and other business partners across its value chain. The company is also strongly committed to ensuring its products are good for the planet, by working towards achieving its ambition of net zero emissions across the value chain by 2050.

The LMD ‘Most Respected’ ranking is based on an annual survey conducted by NielsenIQ, compiling the opinions of survey respondents from over 100 companies. Companies are ranked by respondents across a multitude of parameters, including Quality Consciousness, Innovation, CSR, Corporate Culture, Dynamism, Honesty, Management Profile and Vision.
