
As part of our commitment to nutrition, health and wellness, Nestlé has begun a 3 year partnership with the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) to tackle the growing challenge of chronic conditions such as overweight, obesity and diabetes worldwide.
In Sri Lanka, Nestlé will be partnering with Lanka Hospitals this year to conduct a Diabetes prevention and education campaign across the island.
To help create more awareness of the disease and educate people on its symptoms and ways of preventing / managing it, we have embarked on a wide range of activities between 9 and 30 November, some of which you can be a part of too!
9 – 30 November: | Diabetes awareness, prevention and education activities at select hospitals across the country. |
14 November: | Distribution of Diabetes education leaflets within our Kurunegala factory zone and the Pannala town from 6.00 a.m. to 7.00 a.m. Make sure you pick one up! |
22 November: | Distribution of Diabetes education leaflets at central locations in Colombo from 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. If you missed out on our Kurunegala street campaign, here's your chance to learn a little bit more about how you can better manage or prevent Diabetes. |

23 November: | Free health checks and nutritional counseling on blood sugar, body fat, body mass index (BMI) and biological age at the following locations from 9.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Drop in! |
