Ingredients:

Soup
- 600g of chopped onion
- 2 bay leaves
- 7 – 8 pepper corns
- Chicken stock made from 2 Maggi Jumbo Chicken Cubes and 1 ½ liters of water
- 3 – 4 tbsp corn oil
- 4 spring onions with leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheese toast

- 4 slices of French bread
- Grated cheddar cheese
- 1 egg yolk

Method
Soup
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Add onion, pepper corns, bay leaves and a pinch of salt, and temper until the onion turns light brown.
- Add chicken stock made from Maggi Jumbo Chicken Cubes and bring to boil.
- Simmer the mixture on medium heat until the liquid reduces to about 1 liter.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Take off the fire. Garnish with a spring onion and serve warm with a slice of cheese toast.
Cheese toast
- Toast one side of the French bread
- On the other side sprinkle cheddar cheese and the egg yolk and toast.
