We were ranked Sri Lanka’s Number 1 F&B company in Business Today’s TOP 30, 2019-2020 ranking. Amidst several corporate entities, our company was ranked Number 13 in the list. Featuring Sri Lanka’s best-performing entities across all industries, the ranking recognises organisations that achieve growth amongst challenges faced during the financial year, demonstrating resilience and ingenuity in serving consumers and supporting the country’s economy.

This is the sixth consecutive year in which Nestlé has been recognised by Business Today. We have been previously ranked Number 10, 19, 11 and 9 amongst Sri Lanka’s top thirty leading corporates for the year 2018-2019, 2017-2018, 2016-2017 and 2015-2016 respectively and Number 13 amongst Sri Lanka’s top twenty five leading corporates for 2012-2013.

Business Today, a leading monthly business magazine in Sri Lanka, has been hosting the Business Today TOP 30 awards since 1997. The Business Today TOP 30 awards are judged based on the published information of listed companies on the Colombo Stock Exchange. It evaluates company performance recorded during the financial year ending December 31 and March 31, with the assistance of KPMG, Ford Rhodes, Thornton & Co in Sri Lanka.

In addition to considering the contending companies’ revenue as criteria for the selection, several other established criteria are also similarly considered. These include: share turnover, revenue, profit after tax, growth in sales turnover, growth in profit, return on equity, growth in earnings per share, market capitalisation, value of shares transacted and value addition.
