Nestlé Professional, Sri Lanka’s leading food and beverage solutions provider for the Out-of-Home market, conducted a ‘Milkmaid Lakshapathi Waram 2013’ campaign to reward the brand’s loyal customers island wide.

The ‘Milkmaid Lakshapathi Waram 2013’ four month campaign was aimed primarily at teashop customers using Milkmaid 5.15 kg cans in teashops. The island wide campaign was divided into an instant rewards scheme – where each customer that bought a specified number of Milkmaid 5.15 kg cans won varied prizes ranging from rechargeable torches, CFL bulbs and Milkmaid tea sets to double burner gas cookers - and an exciting Lucky Draw, where 30 lucky customers who sent in completed coupons were randomly chosen to receive exciting prizes like LCD TVs, home theater systems, mobile phones and cash prizes up to Rs. 500,000!

Milkmaid, a household favourite in Sri Lanka for over 100 years, is used as an ingredient for a variety of desserts, beverages and toppings by thousands of housewives, cooks and chefs across the country. We’re extremely pleased that our loyalty rewards scheme for the brand generated an overwhelming response. The campaign secured over 6000 entry coupons and resulted in a significant increase of sales for Nestlé Professional. Our relationships with our customers is what keeps us at our number one position in the out-of-home segment today, and I’m proud to note that this campaign has strengthened our relationships with our valued customers by making them aware of how much their loyalty is appreciated by us”  said Jagath Wedage, Head of Nestlé Professional.

Made from 100% Sri Lankan milk collected daily from Nestlé’s network of over 18,000 local dairy farmers, Milkmaid gives a consistent rich and creamy taste to any beverage or dessert it is used in and has been a trusted brand in Sri Lanka for generations. We will continue to uphold this trust and build on our work with our loyal teashop operators to help them ‘Make More Possible’ for their customers” said Ganesan Ampalavanar, Managing Director of Nestlé Lanka PLC.

Nestlé Lanka is Sri Lanka’s largest private sector collector of milk, currently collecting over 200,000 litres of fresh milk a day from 18,000 dairy farmers for the manufacture of its dairy based products such as Milkmaid.
