We have constructed several facilities of the highest hygiene and quality to supply clean drinking water. These units are built by drilling bore wells or using existing deep wells and installing water pumps and storage tanks. Facilities are tiled and have taps for easy maintenance and access.
These water fountains are built in schools, hospitals and places of worship across the island, directly benefitting hundreds of thousands of people in rural communities.
Setting up and maintaining these water projects is a continuing process, and assessments and monitoring is conducted regularly.
With every Nestlé Clean Drinking Water project that is implemented in a school, ‘water education’ becomes a part of the school curriculum and more and more children learn about water conservation and the link between clean water, hygiene, health and wellness.
