Nestlé’s belief is that good nutrition starts with pregnancy and after delivery through breast milk, followed by developmental, stage-appropriate feeding choices, helping infants and young children to grow and develop into healthy adults.
Nestlé ‘Start Healthy, Stay Healthy’: Empowering Sri Lankan Mothers with Scientific, Nutritional Information
Nestlé Start Healthy, Stay Healthy is an initiative taken by Nestlé in partnership with the medical fraternity to educate mothers on the importance of the first 1,000 days from pregnancy to toddlerhood.
The first 1,000 days of life (i.e. conception up to two years of age) has a profound impact on a child’s future; where improving the nutrition status of pregnant women and children during the first 1,000 days of life provides lifelong benefits.
A non-branded, non-commercial activity designed purely to educate mothers on science and nutrition, the aim of the programme is to make good nutrition a way of life and pave the way for a healthier future generation.
