- 250g sugar
- 1 ½ cups Kithul Treacle
- 4-5 Crushed Cardamoms
- ½ tbsp. Roasted and crushed sweet cumin (Maduru)
- 1 ½ cups Water

Method
Method of preparation for Pittu
- Mix the scraped coconut and Maggi Coconut Milk Powder with salt
- Add rice flour and make in to fine pieces and steam as Pittu
- While the Pittu is still warm break in to small pieces
Method of preparation for the honey mixture
- Remove 3 tbsp sugar from the 250g sugar & caramelize
- Add the treacle into the pan with the remaining sugar, cardomons, sweet cumin and the water
- Stir until the mixture begins to thicken
- Add the Pittu and cook while stirring all the time
- When the mixture is thick , pour into a greased pan and flatten to ½ inch thickness
- Allow to cool and cut in to squares
