We were crowned Best Corporate Citizen in the Manufacturing Sector for the second consecutive year at the prestigious Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2018, organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. We were also awarded as one of the top three Best Corporate Citizens in the country, with an overall second runners-up win. We won four awards in total, including the Top 10 Best Corporate Citizen’s Award for the sixth year and Best Presented Application Award for the second consecutive year.

We have been in the 10 Best Corporate Citizens list for five years before, where our company won the Manufacturing sector and Triple Bottom Line - Social Sustainability (People) Awards, Customer/Consumer Relations Award, Best Presented Application Award in 2017; Employee Relations Category Award in 2006, 2007 and 2011; Customer and Supplier Relations Awards and a Certificate of Merit for Dairy Development in the previously conflict ridden North and East regions in 2011, the first runner up in 2007 and the coveted 'Best Corporate Citizen' title in both 2008 and 2011.

The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards are widely considered Sri Lanka’s highest corporate honour. It recognises the best contributors to the local economy and community as well the best performers in corporate sustainability. Submissions are evaluated by a highly respected panel of local experts, academics and thought leaders, as well as representatives from IFC (International Finance Corporation), the World Bank, USAID (United States Agency for International Development), The Colombo Plan Secretariat, UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), and ILO (International Labour Organisation).
