Ingredients:

  • Crushed almond powder - 200 grams
  • Water - 250 ml
  • Milkmaid - 1 small tin
  • Ghee - 1 tablespoon
  • Saffron powder - ½ teaspoon

Method

  • Mix the crushed almond powder and water in a non-stick sauce pan and allow to soak for 30 minutes.
  • Add Milkmaid and ghee, place over medium heat and stir for 20 minutes until the halwa pulls from the pan and has a stretchy texture.
  • Add the saffron powder and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Then form the halwa into desired shapes
